Background

My Firefox account syncs (with all options enabled) on multiple FF profiles + devices + VMs. So, every time I add/remove an add-on it also sync with all devices.

Problem:

Firefox allows newly installed (or updated) add-ons to open up new tabs, which steals focus from the user's active tab, without even prompting the user. Even in case of a prompt, an accidental key-press or click would activate the popup causing loss of the user's productivity and data. Imagine having dozens of new tabs popping up after newly synced profile.

Suggestion:

It would be helpful if Firefox could add a Do Not Disturb Mode along with a Notifications Panel to display toast messages or permission requests from add-ons. This would prevent loss of the user's productivity & data and while allowing the user to open the extensions options (from the notifications panel) at a later time and take necessary actions.
