DNS-over-HTTPS on Firefox (Android)

Idea: Add DNS-over-HTTPS support for the Android version of Firefox

Reasoning: Google Chrome for Android already supports this, as does the Windows, MacOS, and GNU/Linux version of Firefox. This can be used to make the mobile browsing experience more private/secure.

Great idea, I've been googling how to do it on Android Firefox. This explains why I can't find the DoH setting yet!

DNS-over-HTTPS breaks access to devices on the local LAN.  It should only be allowed if there is an option define the use of a conventional DNS, by its IP address, for a specific (the local) domain.  Right now I can't access a local server by name from Firefox, only IP address, but can from Chrome.  You know things are bad when you have to switch to Chrome to access a site.

Being able to configure the DNS server and the protocol over which it is used is important for privacy. I would like to be able to configure Firefox to always use my favorite ad-blocking DNS server and communicate with him over HTTPS.

They need to make it more user friendly in settings somewhere.

Might make the interface too confusing for people who don't care. Also may not be worth the work.

People who really want this feature, may still be able to find it by searching the web.

There is also the debate as to whether this feature should exist at all.

Maybe an addon can be made that configures this in about:config for the users that really need it (although i'm not sure if this can really be made).

Anyway, the part that matters for me, is that it does exist and i can now use it, even if it's not that user friendly.
