directly transferring emails from Thunderbird desktop to the Android app

Currently, directly transferring emails from Thunderbird desktop to the Android app is not possible or supported.   Many of us have a huge amount of old emails saved on our Windows Thunderbird data file.  Most of those emails have been long since been deleted from the email server to stay within account limits.  When we get a new phone we are unable to load those emails in the Android Thunderbird data file.

Android since version 11 limits access to its data files. My phone is not rooted so I don't have access and am unable to copy the Windows Thunderbird inbox files into the androids Thunderbird storage file.

We need a way to copy old emails from the desktop Thunderbird to Android.
