Customizable hotkeys

It would be great if there was a way to customize hotkeys.
Here's how I see it:
 * Have a about:hotkeys panel, with all actions listed, and already mapped shortcuts shown.
 * Whether these should be modifiable or not is up to the dev community, ideally they'd be.
 * When clicking on a hotkey field, ideally, there would be a capturing hotkey feature, or, before this, an AHK like syntax to define hotkeys (not as complex, something like: CTRL+H means this and MAJ+ALT+END means that...)

 * a restore to default button.
 * Done.

It can't be done with an extension because some function can't be accessed by extensions (I'm actually looking for a way to send tab to other device while browsing with TST.). Anyway, I believe this should boost productivity in a number of ways. You guys are devs, you know keyboards are faster than mice. 😛

can we get a hotkey for 'translate page' ? the builtin firefox translation almost never recognises foreign languages for me and it's annoying to have to find the 'translate page' button in the dropdown menu :((

There is just one reason that I was forced to abandon Firefox:
The conflicting shortcuts.
For instance, Ctrl+B I wildly use to turn to strong pieces of texts, and Firefox opens Bookmark. That's sad!
Most browsers reserve Ctrl+B.
If Firefox could use the same shortcuts as other browsers, would suffice, at least.

@alsdias  -- Good news! You can clear (remove) that Ctrl+B Firefox shortcut right now with our MVP for Customizable Hotkeys. Just type about:keyboard in the address bar to get to it. There are 71 more shortcuts you can customize, too, and a discussion board where we are gathering ideas for v2. Let us know what you think!

I'm happy to see that it's possible to customize some hotkeys now.

Personally I'm still missing the most important ones:
