Status: New idea

All major platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, iOS/iPadOS) allow apps to have multiple icons, letting users choose which one should be displayed on desktop/home screen/in app menu. The icons to choose from could include legacy icons, Firefox Preview icon, recently released Halloween icons and more.

Similar, platform specific ideas were proposed before (iOS, desktop), but without much success. This proposal attempts to streamline the voting by covering all platforms at once.

Customisable app icons have finally landed on Android. Under Settings > Customise. Works for me as of Firefox 147.

I wish we had the option to use the old Firefox Icons instead of being forced with the minimalist one! Its a different experience when theres a beautiful, detailed firefox on your home page instead of something that looks like it took 10 minutes to create!

Yes!! I love the MomoDraws icon available now on Android, I should be able to switch my Windows/PC icon to it as well. They have very limited options on Windows. I customized a shortcut icon by myself, but that obviously doesn't show on my taskbar, which is typically where I see it. It'd be especially great to distinguish which profile you're opening.
