Convert image file format

When an image is downloaded, it is only able to be downloaded in the original format - if the image is webp, it will only be available in webp. I think that there should be a option to convert within the browser using imagemagick or something similar which would allow images to be downloaded as any format within the browser

A similar idea is this:

Save WebP files to Original Format Easily in Firefox 

Firefox seems to convert images to *.webp even if they are *.jpg. Please upvote that idea too since it would reduce the need to convert *.webp images if one can download images as *.jpg.
