Controlling web site timeouts

Many of the web sites that I visit require the user to be active or else the user is automatically disconnected.  This is especially true for financial associated web sites such as banks.  The inactivity timeout periods for these sites vary.  Please add an option to Firefox that would automatically send a signal to a web site that would indicate the user is still there so that the web site would not time out.  This option would be configurable through the normal Firefox settings and would be set using a drop down menu that would offer several minute settings, including a "Never" setting.
