A niche but growing phenomenon is cloud gaming. Cloud gaming has giant data centers running a game you want to play and then streams that game to your device. With this it can allow you to use older hardware cloud gaming, Mobile-Android, Desktop, Mobile-iOSthat might not be able to run the game otherwise. This  also allows you to save on storage space on your computer. With all of this  I keep having to go back to Chrome because no cloud streaming service supports playing through the Firefox browser. I hope Firefox can speak to these companies and make it to so their browser can be supported.

For context i will link some of the more popular streaming services to show they do not allow using a Firefox browser

Wanted to try Amazon Luna and what do I see? They say unsupported browser!

Unsupported Browser
It looks like you're trying to play on a browser or browser version that isn't supported. Please see our list of supported browsers

And there is no Firefox listed.

What the heck??

Request for Enhanced Cloud Gaming Support on Firefox

Dear Mozilla Team,

I am writing to urge Firefox to prioritize full support for cloud gaming platforms. Currently, most cloud gaming services—such as Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, PlayStation Cloud Gaming, Amazon Luna, and Shadow—are optimized primarily for Chrome-based browsers. This creates a significant gap for Firefox users, who are often left with suboptimal performance, compatibility issues, or even complete inability to access these services.

Firefox, as the longest-standing advocate for open web standards, is uniquely positioned to lead the charge in ensuring cloud gaming is accessible to everyone, not just users of proprietary browsers. By investing in WebRTC, WebAssembly, and GPU acceleration optimizations, Firefox can deliver a seamless cloud gaming experience. This would not only benefit the gaming community but also promote open standards, reducing reliance on closed ecosystems.

Supporting cloud gaming aligns with Mozilla’s mission to champion an open, inclusive internet. It would also strengthen Firefox’s role in the evolving cloud environment, encouraging developers to build cross-browser compatibility and fostering innovation. The open-source nature of Firefox makes it the ideal platform to set new benchmarks for cloud gaming performance and accessibility.

I believe this initiative will attract a broader user base, demonstrate Firefox’s technical prowess, and reinforce its legacy as a pioneer in web technology. Let’s make Firefox the best browser for cloud gaming, just as it has been for privacy and customization.

Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to seeing Firefox lead the way in open, high-performance cloud gaming.

Best regards, [Your Name]
