Calendar support on Thunderbird mobile

It would be great if Thunderbird mobile supports calendars like the desktop applications supports calendars.

I currently use K9 as my mail application on my Android phone. The development of a Thunderbird Mobile app would feel like a gift, and I’d be happy to dedicate time to properly beta test it. If this project is already underway, please consider including CalDav support for both an Address Book and Calendar. A product like that would satisfy many devoted Thunderbird users.

Outstanding idea. Since I have TB on my phone AND laptop, I'd like to accept a meeting request on my phone and have it also appear on my laptop calendar. That would simplify my life IMMENSELY.

@TomNeff0Yes, exactly; I won't use it on my smartphone or my tablet, but I will if it has calendar support. I still use the IBM Organizer (formerly Lotus Organizer, before that Threadz Organiser), and have since it first appeared as a UK product. It's the sort of thing which generates greater loyalty, as my attachment to the IBM package shows. The ability to store names, telephone numbers and calendar data, across platforms, would be greatly useful. If someone on the development team could look at the IBM package, they might find the wide range of functions interesting and useful. (Hint, hint!) 😁

It's a good idea, sometimes the default calendars on mobile don't work well with online accounts.

I too would like to see this feature and I understand that Mozilla is all crowdsourced and doesn't have the money of Microsoft or Google. So if I start donating can I allocate the funds to getting a mobile calendar?  Just a thought. I need to donate anyway, these are great products and are allowing me to get away from the beast of Google.

I'm still using google calendar because all are already connected on it, and wait for this to remove/disable another Google app !

I was looking at downloading Thunderbird for Android. There is no point for me if it doesn't support a calendar feature. Sad.
