The current Thunderbird Calendar works very well for my business use, with one exception: printing the Event page with a TB theme. I use the dark theme to ease eye strain.
When I create an event and fill in the details, I often use the large text box at the bottom of the Event page to add event details, then print that screen for travel to the event.
Because the developers of TB provided the option to use themes, those themes have made TB a highly valuable tool for business communications. However, two elements in Calendar have been overlooked and could be improved in future releases.
1. Provide a print button on the Event Edit screen.
2. When the Print button is pressed, it automatically switches to a white background screen, showing how the page will print on standard white paper. When the print job is complete, switch back to the original selected theme.
As it is now, with any theme (mine is dark), I have to manually change the theme in TB to light (white), then use Snagit to select the edit page and print from there. After I have printed the page, I have to manually go back to TB Themes and select the Dark Theme.
Option.
Have a click option to leave the theme as is beside the print button. This would allow folks who like to print calendar events/tasks in the theme colors they want, and those who would like to save on expensive ink.
