Compared with the Windows version of Thunderbird, the Android client currently offers a rather limited feature set and lacks meaningful customization. For instance, email translation cannot be performed within the app, and message encryption requires installing a separate third-party application.
As an Android user, I would therefore respectfully suggest that the developers consider extending the add-on (extension) architecture to the mobile client as well — allowing users to install and manage the extensions they need directly within the application, rather than having to install additional standalone apps. This would make the software considerably more flexible and extensible.
In addition, I would hope that the mobile client could achieve true real-time message delivery (push) when synchronizing mail across accounts, rather than relying on polling, so that new messages arrive more promptly and conveniently.
I sincerely appreciate the developers' attention and continued efforts.
