Bring back the option to set a custom homepage URL in Firefox for Android

[eddy]

Please bring back the option to set a custom homepage URL in Firefox for Android.

This feature was available in earlier versions of Firefox for Android, but it is no longer available in current versions.

On Firefox Desktop, users can still choose any URL as their homepage. I would like to have the same option on Android.

For example, I would like to use a private homepage hosted on my own NAS within my home network. Adding the page as a shortcut is not an equivalent replacement, because I want Firefox to open this page automatically when I start the browser.

I understand that Firefox for Android has undergone several major redesigns over the years, but removing the ability to specify a custom homepage URL makes the browser less flexible for users who want to use their own start page.

A simple option such as:

Settings → Homepage → Custom URL

would be sufficient.

It would also provide a more consistent experience between Firefox Desktop and Firefox for Android.

Please consider bringing this feature back.

Thank you.
