Firefox 88 had icons and labels on the main menu and the context menu.  After Firefox 88, it's just labels.

Menu icons give instant visual cues, help speed up the act of finding the needed menu item, plus they help non-tech savvy users.

Idea: Please bring back the menu icons. Or, at least, give us an option to see them.

Removing the icons has become a persistent speedbump in productivity usage despite months of trying to get accustomed to it. It would be great to have icons in the menus again. Thanks

Icons should be togglable. You can even categorize it as an accessibility feature (because, indeed, it worked as one).

Mozilla's current branding is all about digital inclusion and bringing diversity into the internet, something I mostly I agree with, but it's kind of hard to believe that when the UX team decides to totally remove a feature which not only helps the majority of us, but it's specially helpful for illiterate people (which aren't that uncommon here the so-called "Global South").

My university is actually still running Firefox LTS 78 because of this feature going away.

Bring the icons back. It takes me twice the amount of time to find things on the menu because there’s like 600 items and every time I have to read through the labels. It’s not fun, I used to only have to look at a puzzle or whatever icon to find what I was looking for in a second. Icons are not just for decoration, they aid navigation as well.

What do I need to do to keep the Firefox icon on the bottom bar of my desk top. It used to stay on but now every time I have to re-download it to get the icon there.

I like the new clean menu, so if they do decide to add, please keep it as an option & don't force it on users.

So many of these suggestions are to bring back things Mozilla remove... they're screwing up by completely removing them! It's fine to change the default option, but at least keep the option. People want more customization, not less, and you could hide the more advanced options. As long as you can still update them!

Hello,

Back when upgrading to version 98 something (I believe) Firefox blew away all the bookmark icons and they were replaced by the generic world icon.  Most of the time when I click a bookmark, the icon will regenerate, but not all the time.

Short of clicking all the hundreds of bookmarks, how can these icons be regenerated?  It's also not given they will regenerate to a proper icon as many won't.

And also....Firefox....this is about as annoying as it gets.  When an upgrade botches someones settings, that's just downright unacceptable.
