Please bring back the ability to disable pull up refresh. So many times I have lost form data due to scrolling too fast or pinching to zoom. It’s so frustrating. Pull to refresh is great, but please give me the option.
After repeated data loss in an editor, I finally figured out that this is what’s causing the problem. I was blaming the website until I realized that swiping down was triggering it, which doesn’t seem fair to them. Alternative fix - isn’t there some flag you could check that would tell you when user is in the middle of editing?
How is this still an issue? Could the people at Mozilla please focus on the actual browser and not pushing nonsense bloat. This breaks dozens of webpages especially anything that puts a text box at the end of a scrollable sextion.
Bad UI work, really wish we had a better mobile browser alternative.
@jmahon hi, seems to me, that this falsely marked as resolved, as on iOS/iPadOS this is still missing. And getting a refresh, and loosing input because of a false reload is such a nuisance! Can’t await to see it as soon as possible!
I haven’t had trouble with it lately, but that may just be that I haven’t been dealing with a website with a design that interacts with it in a bad way. (I haven’t returned to the site I was having trouble with in March.) It may be that “sensitivity” changes made a difference so I’m not triggering it accidentally as much. I have been using the feature on purpose some, and you have to pull down and hold for a tick to trigger it now.
It looks like both this discussion and the combined bug have been marked resolved. If I do have any more problems, I’ll probably endorse a different ask - something along the lines of a dialog that confirms refresh before deleting form data.
