One thing I found puzzling is why I can't
backup my logins to an offline device such as a thumb drive for example (or any other tyoe of
storage medium on a computer)

Thumb drives can be encrypted and can he hidden in the house somwhere
which are far more secure than a cloud based back up.
At the moment all I can do is save the logins as a CSV. If at some point in the
future I have to do a total reinstall I have to reenter passwords one at a time.
very tediuos when there is 60 odd logins to re-enter.

Some people don't want cloud based anything.

@OoF  thank you for suggesting this idea! I agree, we should have some sort of user facing backup/restore option. I've took the liberty of filing a bug here to keep track of this idea.

Thanks 🙂 I hope this can be implemented some time. After some searching (lots of it)
I found others have been asking for this as well.
(I havent quite figured out how to use this
forum yet and seemed to have lost access to my original account.)

Just had the problem of a complete reinstall, and it is a very tedious process reinstating the data from the export file
