Automatically place keyboard focus in the message list when Thunderbird opens

I'm totally blind and use Thunderbird with a screen reader. I've disabled all the extra screens so that Thunderbird opens directly to my message list. However, I have to press Shift and F6 to move the keyboard focus to the list so I can start working with messages. Please fix this in a future release so this extra step isn't necessary.
