Allow blocking specific publishers in “Popular Today” / Recommended Stories on the Firefox New Tab page

Please add an option to block specific publishers in the "Popular Today" section. Currently, I can hide individual articles, but I would like to exclude a publisher entirely without disabling "Recommended Articles."
For each card, it would be useful to have the option to remove not just the individual article, but all articles from that publisher. Ideally, blocked publishers would be added to a blacklist that users can view and edit, for example via about:config, so the change can easily be reversed.

Yes, the "Firefox Home" really needs a revisit as there are so-many improvements they could make:

1. Blocking specific publishers (aka sites) as you suggested
2. Let users re-order categories, to move-up ones they care-about more
3. Stop pushing so many paywalled articles
4. Make it easier to dismiss articles (when you hover-over, a larger 'X' to tap on)
5. Add a "Refresh" option to various widgets, like weather, to fix them after an Internet drop-out
