I use Firefox sync to sync my securely generated passwords, so if someone got access to it, they'd have access to a huge number of accounts that don't support 2FA. I would like to use a security key to log in but it isn't supported. Please implement the WebAuthn API for Firefox accounts.

Add Security Key Support to Firefox Account

I use Firefox Sync in order to synchronise my browser data across devices. In order to have my account properly protected, I'd prefer using a security key over an TOTP app which is currently the only possible method for two-factor authentication.

Therefore, I would like to request security key and passkeys support for Firefox Account.

I too feel that Firefox should offer a way to add 2FA for accessing any saved passwords.  I found this page when I searched for "Firefox security keys" in a search engine.

If there is a way to do this with Firefox, please say so in this thread.

I just came up with this idea and was gonna make a post, but I’m glad to see this one already exists.

It’d be nice to have the option of requiring a security key in addition to a password to access saved passwords.

Even better would be to have an option for a security key to log in to your Firefox/Mozilla account.

Got here after searching if I could use my security keys on my mozilla account.

The suggestions made before are def. good feature requests but I would suggest everyone to not use in browser password managers. Use a password manager like Bitwarden in stead. It's actually free for most of the important features and is pretty affordable if you want some more.
Or 1password for a better UX experience.
