Allow a default setting for a displayed list sort order

Please add a user managed default setting for the preferred order of display. This is overlooked in most cases on the web where lists are displayed. Humanity defers to familiarity, while appreciates the multiple options. In my case, hexadecimal, or a date based order is meaningless, when I am always searching by alphabetic order, like an extension by name. An added setting of 'Last updated' order would also help. Thank you.
