AirPlay on Mac.

I have returned to Firefox as my primary browser, on all my apple devices.  I have noticed that Firefox on iOS 16 allows for AirPlay and to me this is wonderful.  I was wondering if this feature could be added to the MacOS version of FireFox.

Please, please, please! I really, really miss AirPlay in Firefox. I’ve switched back to Firefox as my main browser, and I miss AirPlay in Firefox every single day. I think I’ll have to switch back to Safari for now until there’s a real Firefox solution that goes beyond just “Use Safari” or “Use Screen Mirroring.”

Hey all! Curious, how might you be using airplay?  Watching videos? Casting on to monitor for work purposes? Just trying to figure out what we might want to optimize for.

For me personally I'm just interested in being able to cast YouTube video's to my Samsung TV with AppleTV built in. It would also be nice to cast things like NowTV, Disney+, Netflix etc however I know DRM's can get in the way. I'd be happy with just youtube, the rest is laziness on my part by not using the native apps.

The main thing we want exposure to is choosing multiple outputs. Apple only exposes that within Safari and Apple Music if the website developer adds a sound output chooser to their video player, but music players usually don't have it. At the OS level we can still only choose a single output for all computer sound.

What would be amazing would be a toolbar button so that I could choose multiple sound outputs for whatever website I am visiting baked in at the browser level. I suppose it would need to be in the address bar, so the browser knew what website I wanted to stream and still have multiple tabs open and sound would continue if I switched tabs.
