Adding ability to delete highlighted groups of messages

Prior to Supernova (v.115), it was possible to highlight a group of email headers and delete them all at once. However, that feature appears to be absent in v.115 - when I highlight a group of, say, 50 headers and choose either "delete" or "Delete selected messages", only 2 or 3 are deleted; the rest remain. This does not improve even with multiple attempts. This occurs with both my gmail account and aol account (both IMAP).

Would Mozilla consider re-implementing that option?
