Thunderbird Desktop already supports Usenet (NNTP), so why doesn’t the Android version? It’d be great to have full Usenet access on mobile—being able to subscribe to newsgroups, read and reply to posts, and sync across devices, just like on desktop.

Why add it?

Keeps Thunderbird consistent across platforms.

Usenet is still active, and mobile access would make it even more useful.

Mozilla is all about open communication—Usenet fits right in.

All I’m asking for is native NNTP support in Thunderbird for Android, with proper threading, offline access, and syncing. If you’re on board, upvote and drop your thoughts!
