Add Startpage private search as option

Can we update Firefox search engine options to include Startpage? Other browsers already have this & would make it a lot easier to use on my phone.

I'd like that you add the following search engines

- brave

- 4get

- swisscows

Please add infos, if they collect data, privacy first.

I'm not sure whether a search engine like startpage, which belongs to an American advertising agency with links to a Chinese company, makes sense in the long term (at least in the EU). But of course this applies all the more and especially to google, which essentially finances the firefox browser.

Perhaps the search engines should be labeled accordingly in the selection area: complies with the EU GDPR yes/no.

So please add _some_ 100 % EU DSGVO (and swiss law) compatible search engines, but don't forget to delete them, when they collect private data. I hope, startpage will respect the rules also in the future. Add them, as long as there is no evidence to the contrary.

Knowing what Startpage provides, and using it since years, I can only support the idea of adding it to Mozilla on same level as other search engines!

I have been a Firefox user since the very beginning, and the same goes for Startpage. Mozilla and Startpage consider user privacy to be part of their DNA, and rightly so. I support this initiative because, in my opinion, the two belong together and it should be so much easier for everyone to select Startpage as their default search engine.

I also use Startpage as my default search engine. If Firefox offered Startpage as a search engine option, the use of Startpage would definitely be simplified. On the one hand!
First and foremost, there should – or even better, must – be the opportunity for each user to decide individually which search engine is the right and the best for them. As simple as possible!
