Can we update Firefox search engine options to include Startpage? Other browsers already have this & would make it a lot easier to use on my phone.

Mozilla should give Firefox users more options to default their favourite search engine, including Mojeek as well as Startpage.

It is about time that Mozilla makes its browser more diverse.

Yeah It would nice to have startpage and Brave search too by default.

I also would love to see Startpage, among other privacy-focused search engines, introduced as default search engines. For a browser that values privacy, it's odd that Startpage isn't already an option.

Add Ecosia along with it and I'm in!

Custom Search Engines: Firefox now supports adding even more search engines. To add a custom engine, right-click a search field of a supported website and select “Add Search Engine”, or go to Settings > Search > Add (below the search shortcuts table) to manually enter a search URL.

  • Open Firefox on Android.

  • Visit 👉 https://www.startpage.com.

  • Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the bottom-right (or top-right, depending on your layout).

  • Select “Add Search Engine.”

    • If you see Start page appear as an option, tap Add.

  • Then go to:
Settings → Search → Default Search Engine
    and select Start page

Hey all,

Some exciting news...

Starting today (April 21) we're running a 30-day experiment with Startpage — if you're in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Austria, or Switzerland, you may see it as an option in the address bar via the unified search button.

Check out the following discussion thread to learn more and to share feedback directly with the team working on the feature: Try Startpage Search in Firefox 150!

Thanks so much!
