Add Phone Number as a Priority Option for Mozilla Account Recovery

propose adding the option to recover Mozilla sync accounts via phone number, in addition to the current email-based recovery.

Phone numbers are generally more stable and easier for users to retain over time. Even if a phone is lost, the number itself can often be easily recovered or transferred to a new device by the owner. On the other hand, email accounts can be permanently lost due to forgotten credentials, provider shutdowns, or hosting issues.

Allowing account recovery via phone number would enhance the reliability of the process and give users an additional safety net when email recovery is no longer viable.
