Acting as delegating search engine on Android

Hi there. I would love to see firefox being able to be registered as search engine on Android that just delegates. I'm migrating away from Google, but duckduckgo or startpage bring their own browser, what doesn't play nicely with firefox.

So my idea is to register firefox as search engine, so it gets invoked when typing into the android search bar. The app then delegates the search query to the already configured search engine within the app, what could be said duckduckgo or startpage.
