Ability to Sort Bookmarks

Background: Bookmarks on Firefox Mobile just placed wherever, Unsorted.

Ideas/Suggestions:

- Bookmarks by default need to be sorted? At least by Name.

- Option to Sort Bookmarks/Bookmarks Folders by Name, Date, URL, Manually, or any others.

Please add a feature that sort the bookmarks in Firefox Android by date added, alphabetical, etc.

My wish is that you could look at a folder in "Manage Bookmarks", sort them using that particular already extant interface, and then hit a button which makes that folder default to that sort order on the Boomarks toolbar.

My particular use case: Most mornings I get to my browser, and right click the "Comics" folder, which is a single folder containing plain bookmarks. I select Open all in Tabs, select the first one, read it, and hit Command-W to get rid of it.

My current goal is to have all the comics which update most frequently at the top of the list, but also in order of an arbitrary rating I have encoded into the tag. This way, I can open the tabs, read them, and when we've gotten to the ones which don't update as frequently, close them out quickly knowing I'm not going to miss a daily.

Make it possible to sort bookmarks within a folder by when they were saved, from newest to oldest or the opposite. This feature could be useful, for example, when saving read texts.

For the love of God, yes.  By Firefox's logic, not only do I have to remember what folder I put the bookmark in, I have to remember how recently I added it.  Just alphabetize them.  Who the heck wants them unsorted?  Drives me insane.

Dear Mozilla Firefox Team,

I am reaching out to request a feature that allows users to sort bookmarks in various ways, such as alphabetically or manually, in all platforms especially in Firefox Android App similar to what is offered in Chrome and Brave.

This feature would greatly enhance the user experience for those of us who frequently use bookmarks. I believe it would be a valuable addition to Firefox's functionality.

I look forward to any future updates that could include this improvement.

I would also appreciate the ability to sort bookmarks on mobile.

In the past, you could at least sync your phone to your desktop, sort bookmarks on desktop, and the sort would carry back over to mobile after sync.  This has broken for me recently, which has left my bookmarks in an unsorted, functionally unusable mess.

An easy way to apply sorts if you want to use a low-cost fix would be to force the sort alphabetically, with folders first.  Other sort mechanisms could be added as time and resources permit.

I don't know why a simple but yet a useful feature like this isn't already added to Firefox, i mean, brave and chrome have it,so why wouldn't Firefox just like them.

As other have stated, bookmarks sort order and arrangement previously correlated with the bookmarks on my PC.   This change makes FF Mobile unusable for me.
How did anyone think this was a good idea?
 I am looking for an alternative browser  unless or until this gets fixed.

Definitely. To me this should be a priority. I mean this is a basic requirement on any browser with bookmarks 😁
