Ability to change the casing of words in Write in Thunderbird

I want the ability to change the casing of words between Upper Case, lowercase, and ALL CAPS. It would be a bonus if it worked on the word the cursor is in or touching without having to first select the word. They need to be available as keyboard commands, in the right-click menu, and the the toolbar.  I just basically want what I've been able to do in word processors for four decades.

YES!!. For two-finger typists, it's a great asset. For Windows, SHIFT-F3 would be a good choice, as it's used by Word for the process.
