The last time I did an update with firefox, mozilla moved in and
took over with the deleting all the browsers I had up. I had all the correct items clicked with
firefox the default browser with keeping everything the same, but that didn't matter when
what I believe was Mozilla/firefox pulled in and asked if it could make changes in my computer. I said
yes, thinking all my history would be still there upon restart because I had all the items selected to keep
as part of my history with firefox. However, this didn't make any difference when the installer completed, all my browsers were gone, all my settings were deleted,in other words a lot of important history was not recoverable, even though I had set things up in settings to do so. So now, I'm deathly afraid to say "yes" to the installer when it says,"allow firefox/mozilla to make changes to my desktop computer. The final result, of course, is my computer never gets updated by firefox/mozilla and I have to use the earlier version of firefox which I think is something like 142 version. How to solve this, when several browsers I have up I don't want to lose just for the sake of the update/installer from firefox/mozilla saying, "will you allow firefox/mozilla to make changes to your computer." I can't lose everything again like last time. Please reply and help me to resolve when I do want to stay with firefox as my default browser. Thank you, dan zan, zandansmail@gmail.com
