Did you mean:

Your browser is being managed by your organization -- WTF??

Why does Firefox on Linux now say "Your browser is being managed by your organization."
When I click it, I see a property set "DisableAppUpdates"?
What is going on, please?

Are you on Mint? There is a "Firefox says it’s being managed by my organization" heading in their FAQ:

I had the same issue and found this online :

> It's not actually your organization, it's your distribution using organization policies to disable Firefox's builtin update checker. Use the package manager to update Firefox.

So it's a nothing to worry about.

"We’ll work with Mozilla on this, first to rephrase this, and hopefully later this year to be able to handle Firefox updates from within Firefox."  That was from the https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=4244 article (2022).

I'm on Debian and long ago found it was best to remove the offically installed Firefox and install it again by downloading the tar.bz2 from Mozzila's web-site.  For some reason these seem to perform better.
