Using the new tab groups feature (WIP) with Firefox Multi-Account Containers

Making moves

As of Firefox 136 the new tab groups feature, which is currently in development, is starting to become more useful. However, there are still things that are problematic for daily use. Primary, the main issue I have is using the Firefox Multi-Account Containers extension together with tab groups. Both require setting a color for the tab/container. The colors of course are important, especially when using these features individually.

When used together, there are challenges. Suppose I have a container called "Work" and a tab group called "Work" and set the colors the same. When viewing the tabs in the tab group, there is an overlap (doubling up) of the color. Since there is no way to disable (turn off) the color on either the Multi-Account Containers or the tab groups, you're left with an unpleasant view (see screenshot below).

My preference would be to somehow disable the display of the container color, so long as there was a way to identify the tab is in the "Work" container. Or some way to identify when a container tab is in the wrong tab group.

I feel like these two features (one being an extension) should be developed in concert with each other. If that's not possible, I really feel strongly that Mozilla should create a native feature such as workspaces/containers in concert with tab groups. The whole idea behind tab groups is to separate your work, research, personal life from interfering with each other, and it should be done so in a secure manner.
