Notification of updates once a day is already too much, but is warranted only in the case of a serious security vulner. But now I am interrupted in my work about every hour. This is headed toward coercive forcing to swallow software without the time to scrutinize it. Don't be like microsoft which forced its customers to do what they did not want to do. Give us an option to see notifications: monthly, weekly, daily, hourly.
