Too Many Version Updates

Just installed Version 115.18 Oesr, now another pop-up for a new update... this happens every couple weeks, interruptive and annoying.  Firefox has always done this, bothersome.  Version updates would be okay every few months at most, providing significant operational improvements and security plugs at once.  These should be identified as major releases, and this would be manageable for users.

Marginal code and bug fixes should not require downloads and reinstallations so frequently... instead, enable incremental patches for affected users as an option. This approach would not mess up the R&D workflow, and makes more sense for regular folks.

Think about it, you good geeks.  Thanks.

Firefox wants to install version / fix updates every other day with 3 daily reminders if one does not allow them to be installed when Firefox wants. Irritating and NOT acceptable! I have been using Firefox for years but I am not so sure I will continue using Firefox for long with so many bug fixes. Firefox must allow a user option to define when the updates can be applied instead of 'bugging' users with messages by interrupting what one is working on.

Hello

Perhaps you could clarify your version of Firefox you are using

139.0. Evaluating other browsers to shift too. Unannounced frequent updates are unacceptable. Most of them are not even relevant to me. I have no control when updates may be downloaded and installed - 3 update reminder messages are bugging from Firefox and interfere with my work.

I suggest Brave or DuckDuckGo. Or AdBlock Browser. Pretty stable, the updates are excellent and certainly not that crazy-frequented as Mozilla's, and it makes YouTube watchable. Funny how it loads for a few seconds, only to start the video just after that. The same for the Livescore website. The ads in between the scores are stuck in a constant loading loop, haha. Absolutely sublime. It makes using the internet productive instead of annoying. Remember pop-up bombing in the year 2000's? You cliked on one ad and your entire screen would be bombarded with pop-ups. That's YouTube nowadays: you click on a video and the next thing you know you are being blitzkrieg'ed with ads, ads, ads, ads, ads, ads,...

certainly do NOT install Chrome as they force ads and AI Overviews (no opt-out option available, because to Google you are not a person, you are a big cow that needs to be money- and data-milked until you have nothing left), block uBlock Origin (which blocks those same AI Overviews) and run away with your privacy, only to sell it to the highest bidder, because he/she might be able to show you "relevant" (it's 0 % relevant, but it is sold that way) ads.

Microsoft Edge is also possible, but it lacks finesse and also foces a lot of ads via Bing, Hotmail,... And it also constantly pushes you to buy 365, to buy Drive, to buy it all. So I would not suggest that. It's just not a productive browser. And it kind of reminds me of Mozilla, which updates constantly.
