I recently realized that my backup system Carbonite wasn't backing up my Firefox history and bookmarks because the file was over 3 GB. I love having access to this but I lost a lot when I crashed my hard drive without full backup. I just wanted to suggest some sort of alternate, second-level, deep archive for Firefox so that the current / recent items are all kept in a file size 1 GB or less, etc. That would also make the system boot faster I suspect.
