Firefox literally asks to be updated a few times per week. I don't care if you say you only roll out updates once every six weeks or whatever. This is my experience and you are ruining a great product. To update for updates sake is foolish and unnecessary. It's not "keeping up with technology". I may become an ex-Firefox user soon.

I'd rather have updates appear, knowing that security patches are usually applied. Although a few times a week sounds like you're using the beta channel, which gets updates three times per week, otherwise I usually get a version update every 4 weeks along with a point release about halfway through.
I recommend getting the stable channel in this case.

the reply above says it all; if something is broken (especially with a browser) then it is better to get the fix ASAP
as a consolation, there does appear to be a regular release cadence

other than that, welcome to the wonderful world of devops 🙃

What's amazing to me is that I continue to have ALL updates forced to OFF or disabled. YET EVERY WEEK IT AUTO UPDATES THE FREAKING BROWSER! No pop-up, nothing. I start the browser, if there is an update it just closes the browser out of nowhere and then when i go to restart it, low and behold its a diff version. Pissing me off.

i 100% agree, it really p**s me off nearly every time I turn on a computer ff tells me update why?? Don't anyone test ff before a new version or updates are available? At least once a week this happen. come on ff sort your game out please.
I only updatd on 21.02.2025 (that's 2 days ago) and yet again i turn on the computer today 23/02/2025 to be told YET AGAIN by FF that there is a new update WTF??? Whats going on with this outfit, A company that claims to be better, free and NO spying on people but they Bombard customers with up-dates every few days. Whats going on?
Does anyone at FF check for bugs and errors before releasing updates. If i had a pound £ for every update I would be a millionaire. I don't get why FF keeps releasing updates every few days. Has the days of beta testers gone. Or just knock out updates with bugs is now the "NORM" with FireFox. So tomorrow (monday) or tuesday we can all expect a new update(s) Start of a new week how many updates this?? I predict 2+ new updates this week coming. CRAZY, Yes i know errors or bugs need to be sorted, but please, check the software first or get beta testers to check the updates first. Thank god we can choose not to update. right away.

this is probably the most unhinged request i've seen, it shows a big lack of understanding in technology, software, and security.
