sound not working on latest firefox version

the sound just isnt working, even after restarting my computer, but it works when i run edge. Not sure how thats even possible that the sound can stop working? at this point I wouldnt even be surprised if it was somehow edge's fault, considering its always running in the background like a little bitch. I'll try fixing it and let you guys know if anything changes.

okay, its fixed, and it was a really stupid fix and microsoft's fault, like i expected. I went to the volume mixer, and despite it being at 100% volume it was still not working. I clicked on the little 'reset' button in the corner, and for some reason that worked.
