This ideas tool shows almost 9,000 open ideas printed over 400 pages, with the vast majority of ideas receiving only a handful of votes. That's pretty crazy. Anyone who understands math can immediately see that submitting an idea in this tool is a pretty futile endeavor. This is a tool for crowdsourcing the lowest common denominator of ideas. This tool could be better.

The void speaks back. And agrees.

I believe that the Ideas subforum is sorted by "date added"?. Perhaps it should be sorted by "recent activity"?
In other words, if a post is added to an idea, or someone upvotes it, then the idea should be sent back to the top of the first page?
The problem with the "date added" sort order is that there is little incentive for people to post or interact with ideas that have dropped off the first page or so, as few will actually see the comment (because the idea will remain buried on page 8, for example).
Whereas a "recent activity" sort order would ensure that the most people would see the idea and / or its latest comments, as it would now be on the first page again.
EDIT: I've now noticed that there are some sort options for the Ideas section aside from just "New", and the default is named "Trending ideas". But seemingly not a straightforward "recent activity" sort option.

Yeah it's not super good. I only found your post by searching for a specific issue of rounded corners and cluttered UI and this was in recommended. So I have been adding tags to related posts hopefully as some level of basic idea grouping.
