Shortcuts after latest update

From an Older Laptop User ... I use max rows of shortcuts and now have to scroll to see the 4 rows ... too much vertical space unused , and now icons too small ... much better previously as icons were larger and far less vertical space was wasted ... can we also have Firefox icon moved to the side (perhaps an icon on both sides would look good).
