Saved/Closed Tab Groups need a discoverable way to find and reopen them

bilakshan

Description:

When you save and close a tab group, there's no obvious or dedicated UI to list, browse, or reopen saved tab groups. Once a group is closed, it effectively disappears unless you remember its exact name and
search for it in the address bar.

Problem:

- No "Saved Tab Groups" panel, sidebar section, or menu entry exists
- If you forget a group's name (or didn't name it), there's no way to discover it
- This makes the "save group" feature unreliable. Users lose confidence that their groups are actually preserved anywhere accessible

Expected behavior:

A dedicated, easily accessible location (sidebar section, menu item, or about: page) that lists all saved tab groups with:

- Group name and color
- Number of tabs / preview of URLs
- Date saved/closed
- Option to reopen, rename, or delete

Chrome's "Tab Groups" section in the bookmarks bar and the "recently closed groups" in the tab menu are good reference points.

Current workaround:

Type the group name in the address bar and hope Firefox suggests it -- it is not discoverable, and fails entirely for unnamed or forgotten groups.

I'm on Mac too, with Horizontal Tabs generally. With Vertical Tabs, the 'List all tabs' icon changes to a rectangle with a bar below it, for some reason! Can you see that, and the 'Show all' sub menu - as per image? (Obviously, if you haven't got any saved/closed groups, there's nothing to show at the end of that sub menu.)

You can see the saved/closed groups via the 'List all tabs' menu. (The down arrow - usually to the right end of the tab bar.) Click that and you see a 'Recent tab groups' section, with a 'Show all' sub menu. The saved/closed groups appear at the bottom of that, (which may require scrolling), without a colour for the group icon. It's a poor UI/UX - and definitely something that should be improved - but it's better than nothing I guess!

Doesn't seem to work in MacOS, FireFox 153.0 with Vertical Tabs on the Right Side

Ohh thanks!
