"Open link in new tab" no longer works

Am using Firefox 133.0 and somehow the "Open Link in new tab", which I use a lot, no longer works. when I click on it, nothing happens.

I have the same problem since the last update.

F.F. 135 doesn't either. The only way is to right click to open in new window. Default setting "open in new tab"  DOES NOT WORK  When are the geniuses going to fix this?
