Provision of setting update frequency or no update via Settings

Making moves

Am using Firefox 145.0.1 (64 bit) and Firefox 146.0b7 (64 bit) on Linux Mint. For both of them in Settings there is only the option of "Automatically install updates" and "Check for updates but let you choose to install them". Please provide an additional option to allow the user to set the interval (in days/months) for when they want to be reminded of an update availability, and allow the user to ignore it if they wish. The existing way of nagging users each time they open the browser, similar to the annoying "Sign in with Google" popup is not good for user experience. I know about "about:config" but even there it isn't clear which setting to disable or change. So please provide the option in Settings itself. If there is a really crucial security update, the notification can show that in red color, with a different kind of a full screen notification which informs the user about exactly what the security issue is and the consequences of not doing an update. But whatever the case, please leave it to the user to decide, instead of constantly nagging them about it via that popup. A Google search for "firefox how to stop the update notifications" will show you how many more people are annoyed with it.
