Hi,

Why doesn't the firefox remember the tabs after closing and opening the software? And don't say me about the menu-history-blah-blah. Why should I restore the previous session everytime? The developers acts like they wouldn't use their own software.

Hmm, you ticked the first box on the Settings page --

[x] Open previous windows and tabs

-- but Firefox ignores that and you have to use the History menu every time?

Sounds to me like @Pure_NZ simply didn't know about the setting mentioned by @jscher2000

Yeah no.  The problem is you USED to be able to select previous sessions not just hte most recent one, so if you messed up by accidentally spawning a child set, or it deleted, you could manually open the older sessions.  This just happened to me in the midst of trying to update.  My session is wipe so it restored the spawned child session not hte parent.  Perhaps parent sessions should be the ones "saved' not the children with hardly anything in them.  All my tab settings gone.  It's 2025, shouldn't be this hard.

Unfortunately, that was never a built-in feature, but for many years add-ons made it possible (Session Manager before Firefox 56, and tools like Tab Session Manager in more recent years).

Check the History menu for any "Recently Closed Windows" that might have your missing tabs. By default, Firefox remembers up to three closed windows.

You also can get advice on using older session files in the sessionstore-backups folder. Please keep a safe copy of these files somewhere that Firefox won't overwrite them before experimenting further. And then see: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-restore-browsing-session-backup
