Someone on the 'recommendations team' responsible for populating the 'popular today' page (when a new tab is opened) is altering the functionality to show stories supporting their own (radical) political claims. It's disgusting and obvious and should be resolved hastily, or I will find another browser.

For now I've turned off the feature. I will be done with firefox forever they do not resolve this by 12/1/2025. This is unethical.

That’s a fair concern, Alex. It definitely feels frustrating when a “popular” feed doesn’t seem balanced or representative. It’s possible the “Popular Today” section is algorithm-driven rather than manually curated, meaning it reflects trending topics or your browsing behavior instead of someone’s personal bias. Still, it’s worth reporting — most browsers have feedback options or support channels where you can flag suspected bias or content manipulation. Hopefully, the team looks into it and provides more transparency about how that section’s stories are selected.
