PDF Editor problems

I was excited to see that Firefox now has a PDF editor, but when clicked "Try It" and filled in the sample PDF, a humorous farewell to one's printer, the results were horrible. Using all defaults, everything I typed appeared well below the lines provided.

I was going to include the PDF itself, but the UI of this page doesn't allow PDFs! Here's a screenshot of the PDF I made with Firefox's "Try It Now" page.

I can't put an X in a check box no matter what I do.  This feature is not ready for prime time.

This PDF is not a real form like https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040.pdf, where you can just type directly and check checkboxes. The PDF shown in the what's new page is to show that even PDFs that are not correctly formatted as forms can still be filled in Firefox, thanks to its editing tools.

You can move the text around by clicking on it and dragging it, if you want to position it more precisely.

I had a similar experience recently—not with Firefox, but with Filmora’s text tools. When adding captions, the text would often misalign, especially with custom templates. Just like the Firefox PDF editor, it looks like the UI is functional but still needs polishing for precision placement. Dragging to adjust manually helps, but it’s not ideal for consistent formatting. Hopefully both tools get some refinements soon. ,
