Very frustrating! After most recent Firefox Developer Edition update to version 132.0b2 on mac, the new tab "+" and Toolbar Bookmarks consistently disappear from the Browser and I have to "Restore Defaults" from the SETTINGS>MORE TOOLS>CUSTOMIZE TOOLBAR>RESTORE DEFAULTS frequently.
Hope this gets fixed soon as it's a bug that's making me nuts!

Also my extensions keep disappearing as well from the Toolbar

Hi, I had the same issue and I was able to place that button back :
- right click next to the last tab (in an empty space)
- click "customize toolbar" in the menu
- in this interface, drag the "new tab" button (be careful : it doesn't look like a single "+" icon, it's actually a laptop icon with a "+" sign in the bottom right) to the empty space next to the last tab
- when you drop, it will place itself (as a "+" icon this time) at the very end of the space, next to the window limit, but when you click "done" at the bottom right of the page, it will place itself as the "+" button you were looking for, next to the last tab
why does it disappear randomly after an update and why does it look so different / incoherent when trying to place it back, I have no idea... but here's how to get it back 🙂
have a nice day!

I've got two workarounds for the problems but wish the devs would fix the bugs instead of me having to repeatedly take time out to "correct" my tabs, bookmarks menu and extensions.

I have same issue. The arrangements of toolbar icon resets randomly.

Try "customize toolbar" -> "reset to defaults" then rearrange toolbar icons.
