I am running Firefox on Linux and I have enabled hardware acceleration. I also have smooth scrolling activated. I have been trying to make smooth scrolling really smooth and experimented with a lot of parameters. Unfortunately the scrolling is still not as it should be.
As far I could see for each mouse wheel increment the window movement is started for zero to max speed and then from max to zero. When there are several wheel increments instead of repeating the same sequence and have the max scroll speed kept constant for longer the scroll speed is oscillating. This oscillation ruins the smooth scroll experience. Is it possible to correct this with "about:config" settings? If not could this feature be implemented in the near future?
