Make Latest Version compatible with Quicktext!

My Thunderbird updated and now I can't use my Quicktext - which I have been using for YEARS!
How do we get Quicktext to work with Thunderbird again?

I have moved this to discussion - because it is up to the add-on author to provide compatibility.  Right now the only version with assured compatibility is version 140 ESR channel.  The add-on will not be consistently compatible with release channel, current version 147, until the author is done making a major update..
