Issues with history pane and sidebar in Firefox

A recent change (I don't know exactly what version this started at) made to the way the history panel works in Firefox makes it so that I can no longer delete sorted groups (month, site, etc) of history entries. I am also no longer able to delete an individual entry by pressing delete.

Also, when I close the history panel, it leaves the sidebar open, even though I didn't have it open before opening the history pane (with ctrl+h).

Also also, I enabled vertical tabs out of curiosity, all of the buttons on the sidebar excluding the "Customize sidebar" button disappeared, as seen in the screenshot. They reappear when I close and reopen Firefox, but this still seems like a bug.

I am confirming this issue.

The new history sidebar doesn't respond to key inputs like tab > ctrl+a >del like previous or the History Library.

The Sidebar also suddenly has a useless 1/2 inch strip to the left. And the line spacing is blown up. Firefox is now a cluttery mess. How to get rid of these junky changes?

Worth noticing how awful it is to NOT be able to middle mouse click to open in a new tab like before. Sad it feels like a downgrade honestly.

It makes no sense to allow you to select all entries in the history pane unless you can operate on the selection.

I would often delete the oldest months in my history as they are less relevant.

I updated to 157.0 today and just now experienced this horrible change to the history sidebar; no response to d or <DEL>; a little trashcan lets me click 143 times to delete 143 history bits, instead of a bunch of <DEL>s, which are WAY easier.

All those here: you may be able to fix this by reverting to the previous sidebar UI

In the URL bar, type about:config then press ENTER
Accept any warning
On the next screen, search for revamp
Double-click the "sidebar.revamp" entry to change it to "false"
