I'm disabled and have choice words for the management given they just ruined my Firefox experience. All my muscle memory, learned over weeks because of my disability, has been completely destroyed. It may as well be a new app and if I have to learn a new UI it won't be with this browser.
Mozilla never has and obviously never will care about its neurodivergent users. We can clearly all go to hell, we never get any consideration when objectively bad updates like this are crammed down our throats without permission, all because the team is run by some neurotypical butthead who is deserving of daily stubbed-toes for life.
I know for most people this isn't a big deal but for me and people like me it's extremely distressing. My morning has been ruined trying to undo this ghastly crap I never asked for that was thrust on me without consent and it feels like not a single person at this company will ever care. Now I find the solution is to disable updates and expose myself to security risks. I can only conclude mozilla and those working there actively hate the disabled.

A friend of mine is going through this exact same thing. I'm so sorry you have to deal with their negligence as well. I keep hoping they give some kind of response, but nothing so far. Keep the pressure up in the other threads about this and maybe we can get them to see what we want/need

Even aside from neurodivergency (although I get it, me too), its also actively worse for people who only use one hand on their device. such as those who only have one hand. Even if its by choice though, one hand use of a browser isnt uncommon for anything except maybe the actual typing in a keyboard interface.
The menu shouldnt jump away from where you go to tell it to open, the menu shouldnt require multiple taps for what could easily be a "scroll on the menu", the tab view in grid mode is now so much bulkier that I'm going to have to switch to list view (which is still bulkier than the old list view). Private tabs switching location with standard tabs in this update doesnt make much sense. the initual test release about a month ago led to multiple reddit posts made by users specifically addressing these complaints, and the most action I saw on these posts from Mozilla was a guy going "noted". clearly he didnt note it, since my phone browser is now measurably harder to use.

Go comment and like this suggestion to give us the option to revert the new UI changes too please!

My suggestion for an option to revert the UI/menu changes was accepted and can be commented on and up voted if you'd like to chime in on the post

We're really sorry this update has been so disruptive, especially given how much time and effort it takes to build up muscle memory. What you’re describing matters, and it’s not being dismissed. We're thankful you've surfaced this to us.
I’m part of the UX team at Firefox, and I’d really value the chance to understand what’s breaking your experience and where we got this wrong. That kind of input is critical for us to fix things meaningfully.
I'll send you a DM to coordinate a call, in the chance you'd talk with our team.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but the new (but certainly not improved) UI it fundamentally flawed all the way to the very beginning of its preliminary design phase.
I'd even go as far as to say as someone who prefers small screen smartphones because I can 100% use them single-handedly due to that just being immensely more convenient, every single thing about it honestly seems like a exercise in how to screw over those who don't have ginormous screened phablet phones whom they consistently use two-handed.
All the screen space being hogged up in turn for accomplishing so little is so impressive, I'd go as far as to compare it to the malaise-era American automotive industry, and that's in no way, shape or capacity a compliment, unless you considering being able to screw up so badly is something that should be considered impressive.
All in all, everything about it is so frustratingly tone-deaf design-wise for anyone who's not exactly like the apparently, seemingly self-absorbed design team, it's best to treat it the same way a farmer would treat a cow that's severely limping. And no, they don't call the vet in hopes of fixing it, but rather they just put it out of its misery.
Seriously, just take the L and hard-disable everything related to the new UI, and instead use it internally as a case-study of what not to do.
