Force FireFox to reconnect to the internet after the local network connection drops

Hi,

At the moment, when the local internet connection drops while using FireFox and I then re-connect to the internet successfully. FireFox is still frozen and can't load any of the pages unless I restart it completely. Please Force FireFox to reconnect to the internet after the connection has dropped, once it is up again. So I don't have to restart FireFox, every time.

Thanks.

Does it work to switch Firefox between online and offline using the File menu?

File > Work Offline

(On Windows, you can call up the File menu by pressing Alt+F, or the menu bar by tapping the Alt key or F10 key.)

Hi,

I gave this a go but it still does not reconnect at all. I'm still forced to restart FireFox, so FireFox can reconnect to the local network connection.

Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. I'll give this a go and let you know how it goes.

Thanks.

I have a similar issue.  I'll be using firefox and then randomly it'll stop connecting to the internet.  I have to shut down firefox and reopen it for it to connect again, very strange.  I'm on 102.9 ESR.   I never had this issue with the last version I was using 78.11 ESR.

I have this same issue.  Sometimes I cannot access the web on this PC, but on another PC using Firefox there is no problem getting on.  Sometimes I can access a page, but a few pages in the photos or other information grays out or the page gets stuck.  I have to restart entirely.  This affects ordering anything.  Any ideas on how to stop this?  Firefox should be updated to prevent this problem.  I have checked everything else with my IT person.
